Job Description
Role: Membership Executive
Duration: 3 Year Fixed term
Reporting to: Director of Business Development and Examinations

Salary: €57,000
The Membership Executive plays a central role in driving the growth and retention of RCPI membership. This position is responsible for shaping and delivering effective recruitment strategies, cultivating strong partnerships with RCPI Faculties and Institutes, and providing high‑quality reporting to inform organisational decision‑making. The role also works collaboratively across the organisation to enhance the member experience, optimise operational processes, and support strategic marketing initiatives.
Standard Duties of the PostReporting to the Director of Business Development and Examinations, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Recruitment and Reporting- Support the Director of Business Development and Examinations in the development of a Global Health Strategy for RCPI, its members and fellows.
- Support the Director of Business Development and Examinations in designing, delivering, and evaluating membership recruitment strategies.
- Drive the recruitment of new members to meet annual membership targets aligned with the Business Plan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with RCPI Faculties and Institutes to generate leads and increase membership revenue.
- Proactively identify opportunities for new membership growth and diversification.
- Provide accurate, timely management information and analytics to support reporting to senior management, the Membership Committee, and the Board.
- Deliver regular data insights to the Director of Business Development and Examinations, including recruitment performance, retention trends, and member acquisition routes.
Marketing and Operations- Work closely with colleagues across membership, communications, and events to ensure a responsive, seamless, and professional service for prospective and current members.
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to enhance digital tools, optimise the membership journey, and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Partner with Digital Marketing, Registry & Support Services, and Finance to deliver efficient renewal processes and achieve retention and revenue targets.
- Contribute to the RCPI CONNECT transformation project, with a particular focus on membership‑related CRM implementation, maintenance, and process enhancement.
- Monitor member feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement and strengthen the overall membership value proposition.
- Support the communications team by drafting clear, timely, and engaging copy for membership campaigns, including attraction and renewals.
- Work with Registry & Support Services to refine workflow processes, improve data segmentation, and enhance administrative procedures.
- Ensure accurate analysis of membership profiles is available to support decision‑making and targeted marketing activity.
- Oversee the accuracy and brand compliance of all membership communications.
- Manage and update website pages relating to membership to ensure information is current, compelling, and aligned with organisational messaging.
- Manage Mailchimp and relevant social media channels to support membership attraction, engagement, and retention.
- Gather and curate member case studies to support marketing, communications, and advocacy efforts.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Registry & Support Service to identify membership trends and ensure processes remain current and effective.
Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification or demonstrate substantial experience in a similar role.

- Demonstrated digital marketing competence, particularly in member acquisition, engagement, and retention. This includes familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), social media management for organisational growth, and optimisation of digital user journeys.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience with CRM or database management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to represent RCPI professionally.
